TMEF MEDICAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS

The Tennessee Medical Education Fund Inc. (TMEF) is an independent, nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation, created by the Tennessee Medical Association in 1963 with the purpose to provide scholarships to students enrolled in accredited medical schools in Tennessee.

The scholarships available are entirely "need-based" without regard to course of study, academic performance or year of school and are restricted to medical school expenses only. All scholarships will be disbursed directly to the medical school in which the applicant is enrolled. Scholarships range from $1,000 - $10,000 per year, based on financial need. Financial need is determined in part by a financial need ranking by the student's medical school.
