NEW! Prescribing Practices in Tennessee: What Happened and Where We Are Headed

This program is for physicians and other healthcare professionals who are licensed to prescribe drugs. 


In this program, physicians and other healthcare professionals will engage in a comprehensive review of new definitions, laws and other regulatory changes affecting chronic pain management. This program will help healthcare clinicians understand and adhere to prescribing guidelines to keep patients safe, and protect themselves from inadvertently contributing to the exploding prescription drug abuse epidemic. Physicians will learn about the proper use and responsible management of pain clinics and the importance of educating patients on the pain medication prescribed. NOTE:  While approximately 25 percent of this program is Tennessee-specific, physicians from other states will also benefit from this program.


Completing this course will satisfy the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiner’s requirement of 2 CME hours in prescribing.
